We would like to share our day with all the world if we could, but unfortunately, our budget has been limited to only those we know well and hold dear. If your partner/friend/child/family member was not addressed in an invitation they will not be able to attend.

It is important to us that guests are present at the ceremony, so we have a no phone/camera policy for that part of our day. I promise the professional we hired will capture the moment perfectly! HOWEVER, we encourage you to take as many pictures and videos as you would like at the cocktail hour and reception! Use our hashtag #raathlightwedding if you post online so we can enjoy them all the next day.

Think elegant, refined, and formal (add a touch of fantasy if you're feeling adventurous). Garden formal is a less stiff version of black tie, but more formal than cocktail. We want our guests to be comfortable. So, beyond the "formal" aspect and leaving the puffer jackets and shorts at home, we are not enforcing a specific dress code in terms of a colour palettee or dress-up theme. However! We’re beyond excited to have you join us for an enchanting evening in our very own secret garden—think lush, moody greens, rich blacks, and touches of gold. 🌿✨ Our wedding theme is an ode to fantasy, inspired by knights, princesses, and all things whimsical and magical.

For the ladies, think stunning dresses, suits or formal separates that evoke a sense of magical elegance. Rich jewel tones, spring and dark greens, blacks, and metallic golds and silvers would fit beautifully into our secret garden theme. Pair your outfit with elegant, or whimsical, or fun accessories (tiaras anyone?) and shoes that are practical for an outdoor celebration (though if you're brave enough for spiked stilettos, do you queen). Keep an eye on the weather and be sure to bring something warm along if needed- a great opportunity to break out that opera cloak or vintage faux fur!

For the gents, we suggest sharp suits or blazers with trousers in dark, moody hues—black, deep charcoal, dark green, or navy are all great choices. A crisp shirt and tie (perhaps in metallic gold or dark velvet if you're feeling adventurous) will keep you looking knightly. While a tux isn’t necessary, we’d suggest looking at formal sophistication.
